Think before you post (Think B4 U post!) is the idea behind the Safer Internet Day campaign for 2010. The video I suppose to promote the idea once you have release something information about yourself you may loose control. The the mouse in the video is seen suffering the embarrassment of a revealing photo been published to the Internet.

The thesis of the campaign is to raise awareness that you loose control of both your own image and content when you publish to the Internet. Sometimes this could be simply mash-ups and remix but of content. But there are always more sinister or upsetting instances concerning invasion of privacy and theft of intellectual property.
My conclusion is that the whole campaign is nothing more than a whimper in the turbulence which is the Internet. More should be done to raise awareness that when you publish to the Internet and loose control of said content it may well stay online permanently. People must consider defending their image and personal brand online before publishing. Happy Safer Internet Day.
