On the 22nd June Apple announced that they have sold three million iPads since it's launch in April 80 days ago. This really does not surprise me as when I walk through Holborn Underground Station in London I am bombarded with advertisements for the magical tablet. The Apple press release quotes Steve Jobs, Apple CEO as saying: Continue

So Monday evening when I was waiting at Holborn station in London for the Tube back to Kings Cross when I saw a new Virgin Trains poster. The message is - Don't Go Zombie... Go Virgin Trains. My first reaction was WTF. I then grabbed my iPhone and took the photo which I emailed to John C. Dvorak and Adam Curry thinking they should get some mileage out of this on No Agenda. Continue

Today I heard this fantastic song 'Blue Lego (Steve Jobs Hates Flash)' by John Anealio on Tech News Today episode 5 with Tom Merritt. Tech News Today is the latest addition to Leo Laporte's TWiT Network. The song is a brilliant summary of the frustrations which users of the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad experience when they arrive at Flash content in the Safari web browser. Instead of a Flash animation they see a blue Lego brick. Continue

Will Chome OS be dead on arrival?
For me Chrome OS is secondary or tertiary operating system running on a WiFi enabled device used on the coffee or kitchen table.

After reading Android Has Won — Time for Chrome OS to Move Along? by Om Malik I started to wonder - has Chrome OS failed to launch before it has shipped? This may seem to me at any rate a very real possibility because of the momentum Google has built up with hardware partners developing smartphones running Android. I feel that Chrome OS will find it's niche in the market and not be silenced by Android. Continue

At 14:20 EDT on 14 May the Space Shuttle Atlantis departed from the Kennedy Space Center destined for the International Space Station. STS-132 is Atlantis' 32nd flight and its 11th flight to the space station. I always think that it is fantastic watching any rocket or space plane being launched into space. I think this flight is really made all the more special as it currently will be the final Atlantis flight. Continue

As you may have gathered I am very much interested in the exploration of space if you have read either 40 Years after Apollo 13 or Apollo 11 Saturn V Launch (HD) Camera E-8. So I was very amused when I found this article on the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory site - Engineers Diagnosing Voyager 2 Data System. Continue

These two are however not the only sources of books for your new devices. The is a wealth of knowledge and literature available for these devices from the public domain. Continue
