How do I remove the Ask Jeeves toolbar?

You can uninstall Ask Jeeves toolbar the by following these instructions for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Follow one of the solutions below to remove the Ask Jeeves toolbar from your computer. There are solutions for either Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Windows XP Solution

1. Close all open web browsers windows. Eg: Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
2. Click the 'Start' menu button followed by the 'Control Panel' menu item. Then click the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon.
3. Select the program with the Ask logo labelled 'Ask Toolbar'. If you cannot find the Ask logo the toolbar will be listed under a partner brand name.
4. Click 'Change/Remove' to open the unistall wizard and follow the on screen instructions.
5. Once you have uninstalled the Ask Toolbar I suggest that you reboot your computer to ensure that the uninstall process is complete.

Windows Vista Solution

1. Close all open web browsers windows. Eg: Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
2. From the 'Start' menu in Windows, select 'Control Panel' Under the 'Programs' icon, select 'Uninstall a program'.
3. Select the program with the Ask logo labelled 'Ask Toolbar'. If you cannot find the Ask logo the toolbar will be listed under a partner brand name.
4. Click 'Uninstall' and then 'Continue' to remove the Toolbar.
5. Once you have uninstalled the Ask Toolbar I suggest that you reboot your computer to ensure that the uninstall process is complete.

Windows 7 Solution

1. From your computer's 'Start' button, select 'Control Panel'.
2. Click the 'Uninstall a Program' option found under the 'Programs' category.
3. Select the program with the Ask logo labelled 'Ask Toolbar'. If you cannot find the Ask logo the toolbar will be listed under a partner brand name.
4. Click 'Remove'.
5. Once you have uninstalled the Ask Toolbar I suggest that you reboot your computer to ensure that the uninstall process is complete.
