How do I remove the Ask Jeeves homepage in Mozilla Firefox?

Following these steps to update your homepage and remove Ask Jeeves.

To stop Ask Jeeves from appearing when you open Mozilla Firefox you must update your homepage settings. This is simple task which can be completed by following the following these steps.

Solution

1. Once you have opened Mozilla Firefox click on 'Tools' in the menu bar. Then click the menu item 'Options'. Tools > Options. This will open a window modify settings in Mozilla Firefox.
2. Staying on the 'General' tab as there is a section called 'Startup' at the top of the general tab. Find the text box labelled 'Home Page'.
3. Remove the line which includes http://uk.ask.com/ from the text box and replace it with new homepage you wish to use.
4. Once you have add the address to your new homepage click the 'OK' button.

Once you have saved the changes you should see your new homepage instead of Ask Jeeves when you click on the homepage button.
