Assistant Software Developer - URS Corporation
Job title: Assistant Software Developer.
Employed: July - September 2006.
In 2006 I took a summer work placement at URS Corporation a multinational engineering consultancy. I worked in their Bedford office on an internal IT project. My role was to work with senior members of the business on a project to produce a working prototype of an application to record ergonomic problems and solutions for employee workstations.

The work I carried out was guided by the PRINCE2 project management framework. The work started with documenting the stake-holder requirement and objectives. This was followed by constructing the functionality using Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server to store the collected data. The result of my work experience at URS Corporation was a working prototype of the application ready for intensive users testing and learning about delicate art of managing stake-holder expectations.
I am a graduate of Lougborough University where I read Computing and Management BSc (Hons) earning a 2:1 classification.
